| my explanation. :) .... As for how do I do this? I'd cut right to it and say I have broad range of knowledge when it comes to mechanical, electrical, physics, chemistry, etc.. Which all has come from tinkering and building things as a small boy, education, tinkering as a man :)..... taking things apart to figure out how they work and building new things to make the original better in some way or another. This process requires you to understand all of the bits that make it tick, and I do a lot of reading and studying. I also do this same thing with non-z stuff as well - I have a couple other hobbies; building small turbine engines, aviation, alternative energy. There are overlaps in these other things too - a lot of knowledge I have gained from these other interests has carried over to the Z stuff, and vice-versa. There's not much I couldn't build that I can imagine in my mind. If I dont have a tool to do it, I'll make the tool. If I lack some bit of knowledge, I'll research and learn it. I love the challenge of building something new - what usually comes out of any given project isn't just what I set out to build, but also generates several additional ideas for something new to build in the process.... I just wish I had more time to pursue all of my ideas - but at least I get to pick and choose from a healthy list. :) As for the detailed explanations, thanks for the boost. :) I Dont think everyone will share your sentiment on that one. There are three different people when it comes to this; 1) those who you are talking over their heads, 2) those who already know where you are going half way through your message, and 3) those who just want to break your balls. The way I look at it is if I am going to take the time to make a post I'll make it as worthy of a read as I can. I can type as fast as I can compose the sentences in my head so what may appear to some as my trying too hard or going too deep into explanation isn't an effort of labor and time so much - its just the flow of thought in my mind while paying attention to the complexity of what I am explaining. Some terminologies or concepts need further explanation in order to keep from losing the people of category #1, which I dont mind doing. It usually also results in a smoother pace of the message. It also further clarifies the message - bringing that additional level of precision to the table. Of course, applying what you learned in all of those english courses through your life also helps. It does amaze me how broad a range of writing skills people in this country have - I've seen individuals holding pretty appreciable degrees who write like a middleschooler. You wonder what I am thinking? Words are thoughts - I share these thoughts that are going through my mind and you see them as words. I dont speak any differently in person than what you see here.
